Missoula Housing Report

The 2010 Missoula Housing Report is now available – this is a report provided by the Missoula Organization of REALTORS, released March 25, 2010.

According to this report, the number of homes sold in 2009 (in the Missoula urban area) was about 3% greater than the number of homes sold in 2008, which marked a change from the previous few years. That being said, the median price of the homes sold decreased from 2008 to 2009. Homes under $275,000 showed great numbers of sales, while higher end homes showed greatly reduced number of sales.

This report covers the current general trend of the real estate marketplace, to include sales and price trends, neighborhood trends, condos and townhouses, days on the market, loan information, down payment, foreclosures, rental information, bare lots and new construction, population, migration, income and employment, poverty, and housing affordability.

This is a great report on our local economy and is a great resource for buyers, sellers or anyone who is interested in the general state of Missoula.
