November in Missoula is an exciting time. The Fall leaves are beautiful, and that slight hint of ice in the air exhilarates the senses. There’s also a whole ton of cool events happening around town. Inspired by the traditions of the Mexican holiday El Dia de los Muertos, artists Bev Glueckert and Mike DeMeng founded Missoula’s Festival of the Dead in 1993. Come celebrate life and honor the dead via self expression at this multicultural event that is uniquely Missoula.

First Friday Gallery Night 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM Various locations around Missoula Free
Features various art exhibition openings between 15 and 20 galleries and museums from local and national artists the first Friday of every month from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Beautiful art, the opportunity to meet artists, complimentary appetizers and refreshments create a wonderful experience for both tourists and residents.
Star Gazing Room Planetarium Show 6:30 PM & 8:00 PM UM Charles H Clapp Building 126 Missoula Adults $6 Children 12 and under $4
Familiarize yourself with the constellations, planets, and currently visible deep sky objects. Learn about exciting upcoming celestial events. Each show will focus on a specific topic, like the star lore of different cultures, galaxies and cosmology, or the discoveries of recent and current space science missions. Tickets not sold the night of the show, so purchase tickets well ahead of time. Shows often sell out far in advance. Each evening consists of two shows, 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM.

This wedding fair strives to provide inspiration and ideas for your upcoming wedding, while allowing you to meet vendors who service Western Montana. School is out, so it’s time to play with the Missoula Children’s Theatre! K-12 students will spend the day rehearsing, then performing a small musical. The show is at 5:30 PM so the family can watch their star perform!
