Missoula Outdoor Concert Series Kicks Off with Out to Lunch and Downtown Tonight

Missoula Outdoor Concert Series

Among the many pleasures offered by our beautiful city of Missoula, one of the best is the Missoula outdoor concert series in the summer. We don’t see the sun very much here in the Pacific Northwest, so when we do, it’s important to make the most of it. Both summer and fall are beautiful seasons here, perfect for hanging outside with the whole family and listening to some great music.

The Missoula outdoor concert series consists of three main events: Out to Lunch, Downtown Tonight, and the Missoula City Band performances.

Missoula Outdoor Concert Series with Out to Lunch

Things kick off this season with Out to Lunch, Montana’s longest-running outdoor festival. OTL starts its 31st season on Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 in Caras Park, downtown Missoula. It happens every Wednesday, June through August, from 11am – 2pm. There are kids’ activities, and dogs are welcome except for underneath the pavilion itself. Attendance is free of charge.

Missoula Outdoor Concert Series with Downtown Tonight

Also in Caras Park, Downtown Tonight happens every Thursday, June through August, from 5:30pm – 8:30pm. It’s free to attend and features outdoor food vendors and a Bud Light beverage garden for adults 21 and over. There are weekly scheduled family activities as well.

Missoula City Band Outdoor Concert Series

The Missoula City Band is another alternative for outdoor concerts over the summer months. This event is on Wednesday nights starting at 8pm, and runs from June 22nd – August 12th, 2016. The City Band plays mostly orchestral and old-fashioned music rather than rock, and performs in the band shell at Bonner Park in Missoula’s historic University District.

Come out this summer and see all Missoula has to offer, including this wonderful annual outdoor concert series. It’s a fun way to be social and meet new people, and best of all, it’s free!
